Fall Wine Dinner Series at Fairview Dining Room

Channel your inner oenophile and indulge in some of the world’s most robust wines and regional cuisine during the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club’s Fall Wine Dinner Series. The three evenings in the award-winning Fairview Dining Room showcase Shelton Vineyards on Wednesday, Sept. 10, Stewart Cellars on Tuesday, Oct. 7 and Marisco Vineyards on Wednesday, Nov. 5. During each event, guests will dine on a regionally inspired, multi-course menu superbly paired by Chef Jason Cunningham with handpicked wine selections from each winery. A 6:45 p.m. reception kicks off the 7 p.m. dinner. Cost: $69 per person, $59 Executive Club members (additional Executive Club member discounts do not apply) for the Shelton Vineyards and Marisco Vineyards dinner and $79 per person, $69 Executive Club members (additional Executive Club member discounts do not apply) for the Stewart Cellars dinner. Shelton Vineyards, one of the largest on the East Coast, is located in the Yadkin Valley American Viticultural Area of Dobson, North Carolina where the vineyard shares a similar climate and growing season to that of some of the best wine-growing regions in Europe. Stewart Cellars is known for its Las Piedras Vineyard and Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley region and Ross Station Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley region. Marisco Vineyards is home to renowned brands such as The Ned & The Kings Series. Marisco is located in the Waihopai Valley of Marlborough New Zealand, a location that provides a near perfect environment for producing wines of startling character. It is known for its sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot gris wines.
